Cafe Istanbul was established in 1998. Founded by Kemal Aytac, his brother Kalo and his wife Maryam. The main goal and purpose of our restaurant is to serve the freshest and most delicious food from our Turkish/Mediterranean kitchen and bring in All Cultures and Nationalities and make you feel at home.
The first location was in Lawrenceville hwy and started with small dining area room of tables, by year 2000 we extended and added another room with traditional pillow seating on the floor and introduced the Hookah making us the first restaurant in Georgia to sell Hookah.
The space eventually expanded and customers love seating on the cushioned pillows. In 2010 a second location was opened Cafe Istanbul 2 located in Kennesaw. With all the love and great response from our loyal fans, we decided to open one as in many towns as we could get closer to our customers. Cafe Istanbul 3 opened in 2014 in Alpharetta. Soon after we immediately began construction in Athens, UGA to open our fourth location, Cafe Istanbul 4. Our life and passion is our business and with your support, we hope to continue to grow and have goals of one day turning Cafe Istanbul into a franchise.
